Controller & Administrator

The Mission

flywyld is seeking an accounting professional to help us manage and grow the flywyld companies. We are evaluating full-time and part-time opportunities for this role, depending on experience. The candidate will help provide the oversight necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, bookkeeping, transaction controls, administrative, reporting procedures, and people systems in place for the future.


The Gig

  • Manage bookkeeping, parts ordering, inventory, client invoices, and administrative systems

  • Ensure monthly expenses are up to date and accurate, reconcile all accounts

  • File sales taxes, state report filings, and manage other corporate activities

  • Fixed asset tracking and control

  • Maintain CRM with customer and vendor information 

  • Payroll, benefits, and HR administration

  • Work with leadership in establishing the budgets for the various departments

  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the flywyld team, including cleaning, organizing, and driving (or flying) to stores for pickup

  • Over-communicate with stakeholders across all aspects of the business

  • Weekend availability when needed by operational tempo

Your background

  • Two plus years of accounting/accounts payable experience

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, various technology platforms, record keeping, and corporate tax filings

  • Experience with parts and inventory management

  • Communication with customers  

  • A deep desire to consistently please fellow teammates and customers

  • Marketing and aviation experience is a plus but not required, we are happy to teach you.

 

Airframe & Powerplant Technician

The Mission

flywyld is seeking an experienced technician to repair, maintain, and inspect the structural, mechanical, and electronic elements of general aviation aircraft. The successful candidate will excel at working as part of a team to deliver superb results to our clients.

The Gig

  • Perform maintenance and modifications on customers’ aircraft

  • Follow directions given by supervisor or team leader

  • Construct a plan of action and execute that plan

  • Regularly communicate with team members and/or supervisors status of assignments

  • Perform additional duties as needed to complete jobs effectively and efficiently

Your Background

  • Valid A&P license with 2 years of general aviation experience

  • Working knowledge of FARs and applicable publications such as aircraft manuals, schematics

  • Comfortable running aircraft engines for testing, taxiing aircraft safely with proper radio etiquette in movement areas

  • Own basic set of hand tools and be willing to purchase additional tools, as needed

  • Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends, inclement/seasonal weather, as needed

  • Effective verbal/written communication skills to keep aircraft status up-to-date

  • Proficient at managing parts/tool integrity during complex tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inspection Authorization

  • Avionics and/or electrical troubleshooting strengths

  • QuantumMX software experience

  • Private Pilot License (PPL)

Avionics Technician 

The Mission

flywyld is seeking an Avionics Technician for the repair of electronic instrumentation and aircraft components, to include installation of new, modern components. The candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various avionics components in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Additionally, they will be skilled in electronic/mechanical disassembly and reassembly and familiar with major consumer brands (Garmin, Avidyne, Dynon, etc.)


The Gig

  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform the service work required for the maintenance of a variety of avionics equipment and repair electronic circuit boards to the component level

  • Utilize various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot avionics components and must be able to interpret circuitry through the reading of schematic diagrams

  • Integrate new components into existing instrument arrangement or design entire new panel, as needed

  • Work with all aspects of avionics component designs and interact with engineering and quality personnel as needed


Your background

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and soldering experience

  • Experience installing major consumer branded components

  • ESD & AMP; IPC certification is also beneficial

  • A.A.S. in Electronics or equivalent formal training preferred

  • Pitot/static experience
